Your wedding film is more than just a document of the day. It is the story of your relationship and your people. For Nivedita and Nick, that story led to a stunning Indian wedding at Paliku Gardens. My goal as an Oahu Wedding Videographer is to capture your real connection. I look for the quiet moments and the raw emotion that only appears on your wedding day.
The celebration began at the Royal Hawaiian in Honolulu. This location holds a special place in Nivedita’s heart. Five years ago, she spent her days roaming the island during a medical school rotation. She often found herself in the coconut grove. She loved soaking in the history of the place where Hawaiian kings once gathered.
Consequently, it was only fitting that she returned to that same grove for her wedding. The vibrant traditional attire looked incredible against the “Pink Palace of the Pacific”. These colors created the authentic, documentary-style vibe that makes Oahu wedding videography so unique.

When it came time for the ceremony, the “mystical” energy of Paliku Gardens at Kualoa Ranch took center stage. For a Hindu wedding, the spiritual energy of the location is everything. Nivedita and Nick fell in love with the ranch immediately. They felt the mountains and ocean provided a perfect anchor for their rituals.
This privacy allowed the “spiritual vibes” of the landscape to translate directly into the film. As a result, the backdrop felt both grounded and epic. If you are scouting locations, check out my wedding videography portfolio to see how different island venues look on screen.

One of the best parts of their story was the proposal. Nick planned an elaborate surprise all the way from the USA to Egypt! He blindfolded Nivedita on a boat on the Nile. Then, he led her to a random island where a band was playing. A “Would you marry me?” sign was waiting there for her.
That same sense of adventure was present throughout their wedding. I believe movement gives a video its true emotion. Therefore, I tell my couples to avoid performing for the camera. Just be yourselves and let the day unfold naturally. For more advice, check out my guide on wedding film tips.

A multi-day celebration requires a team that understands the rhythm of an Indian wedding.
Nivedita and Nick wanted a style that captures landscape, colors, and softness. At Kualoa Ranch, the landscape does the heavy lifting. However, the real magic is in the “in-between” moments:
If you want an Indian wedding videographer in Oahu with a documentary approach, I would love to chat. Whether you choose the Royal Hawaiian or your own Indian wedding at Paliku Gardens, my goal is to capture your authentic energy.
